Akash Rau

Akash Rau is currently serving as the Co-Chief Operating Officer for the AAD Women’s Health ERG at the American Academy of Dermatology, contributing to the development of programs and content aimed at improving clinical care and education in dermatology. Rau's involvement in various organizations includes volunteering as a Camp Counselor at AAD Camp Discovery, membership in the Skin of Color Society Foundation, and supporting cancer patients through Cap & Conquer. In addition, Rau mentors fellow medical students as an Upperclassmen Advisor and has held leadership roles such as Co-President of the South Asian Medical Student Association and Former Co-President of the Dermatology Interest Group at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Rau's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Medicine degree in progress at Michigan State University.
