Lisa Weitzman

Lisa Weitzman has a diverse work experience in the field of social work and strategic partnerships. Lisa served as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging, where they oversaw the implementation of a caregiver support program and established relationships with healthcare organizations. Prior to this, Lisa worked as a Social Worker at JFSA Cleveland, providing counseling and case management services to older adult clients and advocating for seniors in addressing food insecurity. Lisa also gained experience as a Therapy Group Facilitator Intern at Recovery Resources, where they facilitated trauma and dual-diagnosis groups. Lisa's work also included an internship at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, where they managed a caseload of clients and developed life-skills programming. Lisa also worked as a Research Associate at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, where they conducted interviews and co-facilitated a program for incarcerated adults.

Lisa Weitzman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Yale University in the years 1982 to 1986. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts in Soviet Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) between 1988 and 1990. Lisa furthered their education by completing a Master of Science in Social Administration (M.S.S.A.) with a focus on Adult Mental Health at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at CWRU from 2009 to 2013.
