Shay Totten

Shay Totten is an experienced communications and engagement professional currently serving as the Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement at Bennington College since September 2024. With a background as a consultant with Shift Key Strategies and various organizations, Shay Totten has developed expertise in communication strategies, audience engagement, fundraising, and impact analysis. Previous roles include Communications Director for the Rights & Democracy Project and Chelsea Green Publishing, as well as Growth & Membership Specialist for the McClatchy - Compass Experiment. Shay Totten's extensive experience is complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Bennington College, earned between 1986 and 1991.
