Rachel Medina

Rachel Medina is an experienced GIS Consultant at Bent Ear Solutions LLC since June 2022, with a strong background in geographic information systems. Rachel serves as the Mayor of Cortez, having been reappointed for a two-year term from 2024 to 2026 after initially being appointed for the 2022-2024 term. As an elected member of the Cortez City Council, Rachel also holds the position of Mayor Pro-tem. Prior experience includes serving as a GIS Specialist for Montezuma County Government, a GIS Technician for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and a GIS Intern for the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security in Denver. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Fort Lewis College and a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Front Range Community College.
