Lucas Marques Pires da Silva

Lucas Marques Pires da Silva is a geotechnical engineer currently employed at Benthic since July 2022. Prior to this role, Lucas served as a substitute professor at UFRJ, teaching undergraduate courses in Geomechanics, Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics, and special topics related to foundations and geotechnics from June 2020 to July 2022. Additionally, Lucas worked as a project consultant for Solo Suporte Fundações, focusing on foundations and embankments from July 2019 to July 2022. Previous experience includes serving as a monitor for mathematical methods in the master's program of civil engineering at COPPE/UFRJ and as an assistant in the Civil Engineering Laboratory at UFRJ, where experiments in the soil field were conducted. Lucas holds a master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from UFRJ (2019 - 2022) and a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution (2014 - 2018).
