Lutz Bettels has a comprehensive work experience spanning several roles and companies in the technology and software industry. Lutz started their career at Intergraph in 1989 as a Technical Support Engineer and Technical Consultant, and later joined Bentley Systems in 1994, where they held various positions including Product Manager, Marketing Manager, and Director of Professional Services. In 2000, they moved to Nemetschek AG as Director of Professional Services, Manager of Key Accounts, and Business Development Manager. In 2004, Bettels joined Dassault Systèmes Solidworks as a Business Manager for Education in Europe. Lutz later returned to Bentley Systems in 2007 and served as the Industry Sales Director for Central and Eastern Europe until 2014. From 2015 to 2021, they held several global and regional leadership roles at Bentley Systems, including Global Vice President of Manufacturing & Facilities and Vice President of Industrial Facilities Solutions. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Bentley Systems. Lutz Bettels obtained a Dipl.-Inform. (MSCS) degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Koblenz and Landau, where they studied from 1989 to 2003. Lutz also holds a certification in Bentley Accredited Developer: iTwin Platform - Associate from Bentley Systems, which was obtained in 2022.
