Farhan Ahmad

Founder & Chairman at Bento for Business

Mr. Ahmad has over two decades of experience in the payments and financial services industry. Farhan is currently the Founder & Chairman at Bento for Business, a company they successfully sold to US Bank in August 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at U.S. Bank from August 2021 to January 2022. Mr. Ahmad also has experience as a board member, having served on the board of the Innovative Payments Association from June 2009 to June 2011.

Mr. Ahmad's previous experience includes serving as the Managing Director, Head of Digital Consumer Payments for Europe at Barclaycard from June 2012 to June 2014. In this role, they were responsible for building, commercializing and monetizing all digital commerce and payment initiatives for Barclaycard across Europe. As a member of the Executive Committee for Barclaycard Europe and South Africa, they were a key member of the leadership team responsible for the overall strategy of Barclaycard. During their time at Barclaycard, Mr. Ahmad collaborated with EE to launch pre-installed QuickTap NFC wallets on all phones and launched and rolled out bPay, Barclaycard’s device-agnostic contactless payments initiative. Farhan also collaborated with other groups to digitize the entire consumer banking journey.
