Nick Dow

Nick Dow is an experienced public health professional currently serving as the Food Program Supervisor at Benzie-Leelanau District Health Department since December 2017. In this role, Nick oversees MDARD accreditation for the food program, conducts routine inspections and foodborne illness outbreak investigations, and serves as the logistics chief for the incident command team. Prior to this position, Nick worked as the Food Sanitarian Coordinator for Oakland County and as an environmental health sanitarian for District Health Department #10, where responsibilities included performing health inspections and collecting data for outbreak investigations. Nick's background also includes roles as an exercise physiologist and wellness coordinator, complemented by a Master's degree in Public Health specializing in Epidemiology and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University.
