What you'll do

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Sydney office, taking a pivotal role in leading our data engineering initiatives. This role is key to enhancing our operations and extending our reach both domestically and internationally.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the following:

• Evaluate data needs and objectives across the business
• Analyse and organise raw data to build data systems and pipelines
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling by building algorithms and prototypes
• Create scalable machine learning models to drive data analysis, predictive analytics, and business insights, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency
• Develop and maintain data systems (data warehouse, data lake etc.) and pipelines
• Monitor data pipelines ensuring performance metrics remain within acceptable limits, and continuously improving their efficiency, quality and transparency
• Develop and contribute to data pipeline documentation and guidelines
• Develop and manage external data feeds for partners
• Work closely with Product, Design, Data, and various stakeholders to deliver business and customer value each step of the way
