Ross A. Hurwitz

Ross A. Hurwitz is the Principal at Berdon. Prior to their current position, Ross worked at Janney Montgomery Scott from April 2006 to May 2011 as a Registered Private Client Associate. In their previous position, Ross supported three senior financial advisors manage over $100 AUM and managed their own book of business with $1 million AUM.

Ross's responsibilities included but were not limited to conducting research for current and prospective investments by analyzing company financial statements and various sell-side research reports, recommending specific equities, bonds, and mutual funds to purchase and sell taking into account client objectives, risk tolerances, investment time horizons, and tax ramifications, developing and fostering business relationships by fielding and resolving day-to-day inquiries, executing trades for various illiquid, time-sensitive securities such as penny stocks and options, providing updates regarding company specific news, analyst recommendations, and macroeconomic data to advisers and clients, and collaborating with junior and senior level managers at the Philadelphia headquarters to complete all necessary operational duties and ensure all compliance regulations are met.

Ross A. Hurwitz has a MBA from NYU Stern School of Business with a focus in Corporate Finance and Accounting. Ross also holds a Master's degree from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business. Ross is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has been working in the finance industry for over 10 years.
