Marlene Duarte

Marlene Duarte is a Partner at Berger Singerman since April 2020, specializing in representing clients in domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, joint ventures, corporate carve-outs, and the necessary financing associated with these transactions. Additionally, Marlene practices in healthcare, general corporate, and securities matters, providing outside general counsel services on corporate governance and contractual issues. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Attorney in the Transactions Practice Group at McDermott Will & Emery LLP from January 2016 to April 2020, and as a Law Clerk and Legal Intern in healthcare-related advisory roles at the same firm. Marlene holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and English from Florida International University.
