Mr. John Lellis has over 45 years of experience in process control technologies, security and compliance. Mr. Lellis’ broad range of experience encompasses management, engineering, software and information technology (its use, development and support). Mr. Lellis began his career as a Research Engineer for Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas. At Shell, Mr. Lellis advanced to the position of Staff Engineer, working on projects both at home and abroad. Mr. Lellis went on to join [DMC] (Dynamic Matrix Control Corporation) as a Senior Staff Engineer, Software Development. Mr. Lellis held several senior level positions at [DMC], which was later purchased by Aspen Technology, Inc. At AspenTech, Mr. Lellis reached the position of Senior Principal Software Developer, Advanced Process Control R&D, before leaving to take on the position of Chief Technology Officer at Berkana Resources Corporation. Mr. Lellis has served on numerous industry standards committees and presented papers outlining the problems faced by adopters of distributed control systems and the best practices that can be used to address them. Mr. Lellis holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree.
