Mohsen Ghafoorian

Mohsen Ghafoorian is a seasoned expert in machine learning and artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Senior Staff ML R&D Engineer, Technical Team Lead, and Manager at Qualcomm since July 2021. Prior to this role, Ghafoorian held managerial positions and technical leadership roles at TomTom from July 2017 to June 2021, focusing on machine learning research and development. Experience also includes a tenure as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard University from November 2016 to April 2017, and serving as Group Lead and Computer Science Teacher at Allameh Helli 3 from February 2010 to September 2013. Academically, Ghafoorian obtained a PhD in Machine Learning and Medical Image Analysis from Radboud University, along with an M.S. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the University of Tehran.
