Sophia Park

Sophia Park currently serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute at UC Berkeley, where involvement in the Kaufer Lab includes supporting PhD candidates on their projects. Additionally, Sophia holds a position as a Screening Committee Member for the Berkeley Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program (KDSAP) and is a member of the Pioneer Alumni Advisory Board at Pioneer Academics. In a previous role as a Research Scholar with Pioneer Academics, Sophia conducted biochemistry research on Alzheimer’s Disease under the supervision of a UCLA medical school professor, resulting in an 18-page paper and a nomination as a top 10% scholar. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Public Relations for Engage STEM, promoting access to STEM education for low-income students in the San Jose Morgan Hill Chapter. Currently, Sophia is pursuing an education at the University of California, Berkeley, after graduating from Valley Christian School in June 2023.
