Cristian Poliziani, PhD, is a seasoned expert in transportation engineering with significant experience in developing and analyzing large-scale digital twins for transportation systems. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Berkeley Lab since March 2022, Cristian specializes in modeling, calibrating, validating, and simulating agent-based transportation systems. Prior to this, Cristian held various research and teaching roles at Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna, focusing on the generalization of transportation digital twins and sustainable transport design. Additional experience includes managing interns for a public transport tender application at TPER SPA and conducting research projects related to on-demand automated shuttles in collaboration with Prospect Silicon Valley and San Jose State University.
