Jalal Uddin

Jalal Uddin, PhD, is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University, a position held since December 2021. Jalal serves as an Editorial Board Member for BMC Public Health since October 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Epidemiology and Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from January 2016 to May 2022, and Research Assistant at the University of Kansas Medical Center from August 2014 to December 2015. Jalal also has lectured at Eastern University and held research roles at the Human Development Research Centre and The Nielsen Company in Bangladesh. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Medical Sociology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master of Science from Iowa State University, and two degrees from the University of Dhaka in Sociology.
