Hans Bechtel is currently a Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab, where they have held various roles since 2011, including Principal Scientific Engineering Associate, Senior Scientific Engineering Associate, and Research Scientist. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2007. Hans received a B.S. from Furman University in 1999 and earned their Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2004.
