Peter Fischer is currently the Division Director and Senior Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, a role they began in 2024. Previously, they served as a staff scientist at Berkeley Lab from 2004 to 2016. Peter earned a Dr.rer.nat. in Physics from Technische Universität München between 1981 and 1989 and is also an adjunct professor in Physics at UC Santa Cruz.
