ALS Lead Radiation Physicist at Berkeley Lab

Stefania Trovati is an accomplished physicist with extensive experience in medical and radiation physics. Currently serving as the ALS Lead Radiation Physicist at Berkeley Lab since January 2020, Stefania previously worked as a Medical/Radiation Physicist at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and held a Research Fellow position at Stanford University School of Medicine, focusing on medical physics and treatment planning systems. Early career roles include a Physicist position at Paul Scherrer Institut, specializing in radiation protection and safety systems, an Applied Physicist role at EBG MedAustron with a focus on hadrontherapy and accelerator physics, and a Marie Curie fellowship at CERN in radiation protection and accelerator physics. Stefania earned a PhD in Physics from EPFL between 2009 and 2013.
