Andres F. Barrera

Andres F. Barrera is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, with extensive experience in financial and economic consultancy relating to international investment disputes, including valuation and damages assessments. Since joining Compass Lexecon in November 2015, Andres has progressed through various roles, managing teams, conducting in-depth market research, and preparing expert witness testimony across diverse industries such as renewable energy, mining, and agriculture. Prior experience includes roles as an Economic Researcher and Analyst with public policy and financial organizations, as well as paralegal work in international arbitration. Currently pursuing an Executive MBA at NYU Stern School of Business, Andres holds advanced degrees in Development Economics from Yunnan University of Finance and Economics and a BA in Economics and International Relations from Wheaton College.
