Bala Dharan

Bala Dharan currently serves as the Managing Director at BRG since 2013 and holds the position of Robert and Candice Haas Visiting Professor and Senior Lecturer at Harvard Law School since 2008. Bala Dharan has been a Visiting Professor at MIT Sloan School of Management since July 2011 and was previously a Vice President at Charles River Associates from 2007 to 2013. Prior academic roles include serving as the J. Howard Creekmore Professor of Accounting at Rice University from 1996 to 2009 and as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Northwestern University from 1979 to 1982. Bala Dharan earned a Ph.D. in Accounting from Carnegie Mellon University, an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
