Joe Schmitt

Joe Schmitt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in consulting and management, currently serving as the Managing Director and co-leader of the Retail Performance Improvement practice at Berkeley Research Group since July 2023. Prior to this, Joe held several leadership roles at AlixPartners from November 2011 to June 2023, where responsibilities included enhancing corporate financial and operational performance. Previously, Joe worked as an Independent Consultant at DIRECTV, focusing on operational improvements, and held positions such as Managing Consultant at IBM Global Business Services and Senior Consultant at Kurt Salmon Associates. Joe began the professional journey as a Consultant Specialist at EDS and as a Consultant at Adjoined Consulting. Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Villanova University in 2001.
