Noriya Tarutani

Noriya Tarutani currently serves as the Deputy Director General of the Innovation Department and Head of JETRO Startup, alongside roles as Director of the Innovation Division at Techstars and Advisor at Berkeley SkyDeck. Noriya also contributes as a Visiting Researcher at The University of Tokyo and as a Mentor at Founder Institute. Prior experience includes positions as Executive Managing Director at Reciente and Executive Director at JETRO USA, where responsibilities involved promoting Japanese startup acceleration in Silicon Valley and establishing a network of over 100 distributors across North America and Southeast Asia. Noriya holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, specializing in Environmental Health Engineering.
