Robert Burkholder currently serves as a Claims Attorney at Berkley Environmental, focusing on complex liability and insurance coverage issues since April 2019. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Vice President of Claims at Great American Insurance Company, where Robert established a new claims operation and grew the division significantly. Earlier, Robert held the position of Executive Claims Counsel at XL Insurance/ECS, coordinating litigation and claims management. Robert began a legal career in private practice, emphasizing civil litigation and municipal law, and served as a LCDR in the US Navy JAG Corps from 1983 to 1986. Robert holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law and a BA in Political Science from Washington and Lee University.
