Steve Lacke

Steve Lacke has a diverse work experience in the insurance and consulting industry. Steve currently holds the role of Chief Actuary at Berkley Select, a subsidiary of Berkley Company. Before joining Berkley Select, Steve worked as a Senior Consultant at Cognalysis from August 2022 to May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Gross Consulting as a Senior Consultant from April 2019 to August 2022. Steve also served as the CEO of Birchwood Consulting, LLC from January 2018 to March 2019. Steve gained valuable experience as the Chief Operating Officer at Constellation Mutual from May 2015 to December 2017. Before that, they held various roles at MMIC Group, including Senior Vice President of Insurance Operations from October 2012 to May 2015 and VP & Chief Actuary from December 2009 to October 2012. Steve also worked as an Actuarial Consultant at RSM McGladrey from July 2008 to December 2009. Steve's career began at St. Paul Travelers, where they served as an Assistant Vice President from 1996 to 2006. Their extensive background in actuarial and consulting roles demonstrates their expertise and knowledge in the field.

Steve Lacke completed their BS in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, spanning from 1986 to 1991. Steve later pursued an MBA with a specialization in Finance from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, where they studied from 2002 to 2006.
