Brent Lacy

Brent Lacy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data engineering, analytics, and education. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer/Analyst at W. R. Berkley Corporation since September 2021, Brent also co-founded Final Plank Media, a podcast production company, in May 2019. Previously, Brent owned Commonwealth Martial Arts from September 2009 to October 2021, where curriculum development and instructor training were key responsibilities. A Level 2 IT Apprentice at MAXX Potential from August 2020 to August 2021, Brent honed skills in data analysis, automation, and cloud migration. Additionally, Brent worked as a Professional School Counselor at Chesterfield County Public Schools for nearly seven years, focusing on data-driven improvements in student outcomes. Educationally, Brent has a Certificate in Data Analytics and Visualization from the University of Richmond, a Master of Education in Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston.
