John Hentz

John Hentz has a diverse work experience in the fields of creative management, graphic design, illustration, and consulting. John worked as a Senior Creative Manager for Packaging and Marketing at Berkshire Blanket & Home Co. from January 2023 to present. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Designer and Art Director/Packaging for the same company from February 2016 to May 2023 and from February 2016 to February 2019, respectively.

In 1984, John started their own freelance illustration business called John Hentz Illustration where they have been creating art since then. John describes himself as someone who enjoys developing ideas and seeing them come to life.

From November 2014 to February 2016, they operated their own company, John Hentz Graphic Design and Illustration, as a Creative Consultant. During this time, they provided creativity and design services for various sectors including brand development, corporate identity, package design, advertising, and more. John also worked on developing brand identities for a food service equipment company and a local tea producer.

From January 2010 to 2014, John served as the Creative Director at Kringle Candle Company where they worked closely with the company's owner to develop a gift candle brand and multiple sub-brands for retail. John was responsible for designing packaging, signage, collateral materials, and print and outdoor advertising. John also provided input on building interior and exterior design.

Before that, from 2008 to 2010, John owned their own company called John Hentz Graphic Design where they worked independently with a wide range of clients. Their responsibilities included client liaison, design, production, and vendor oversight.

Prior to starting their own ventures, John worked as a Co-Owner of Design & Advertising Associates, Inc. from September 1997 to March 2008.

Throughout their career, John Hentz has gained extensive experience in various aspects of creative work, from illustration to graphic design and art direction.

John Hentz attended the Greenfield Community College from 1977 to 1979, where they focused on Commercial and Advertising Art. John then transferred to the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1980 and studied Communications Studies for a year. Following that, they attended the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Graduate degree in Graphic Design.
