Mark Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Mark began their career as a Systems Engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplanes in 1989. Mark then moved on to Microsoft as a Corporate Support Engineer in 1994. Following this, they joined the Oregon Shakespeare Festival as a Systems Engineer in 1995. In 1997, they joined Harry and David as the Director of Windows Systems, later becoming the VP of System Performance and then the VP and CTO. In 2010, Mark joined Lithia Motors Inc as the Chief Information Officer, a role they held until 2018. Currently, they are employed as the Chief Information Officer at Berkshire Hathaway Automotive.
Mark Smith attended the Oregon Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
