Prior to this, Marty worked as an Instructor for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from September 1996 to May 2022. Academically, Marty holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University, earned in June 1998, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theater from Brigham Young University, completed in April 1993.
