OK, let’s talk about these national internet companies (that aren’t real estate companies) that show homes with their “Valuations” or “What’s Your House Worth.” These companies scrape information from the tax rolls and Texas is a “non-discloser” state. Meaning people in Texas ‘disclose’ what they want to pay on taxes, not what the house is really worth.  The only real way to get a home valuation in Texas is get one from a real estate agent licensed in Texas, an agent who knows what they’re doing and has the tools to do it.
