Louise Kidd

Louise Kidd is the current Country Manager for Ireland at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. Prior to this, they held various positions at AIG from 2003-2020. These positions included Senior Underwriter, Underwriter, Financial Lines Manager, Assistant Manager of Financial Lines, and Head of Financial Lines for Ireland and Europe. In their most recent position at AIG, Louise was the FI and PI Underwriting Manager for FL Europe.

Louise has over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry. Louise is a highly skilled underwriter and manager, with a proven track record of success in both underwriting and leading teams. Her experience in the financial lines sector is particularly strong, and they have been recognized as a leader in this area both in Ireland and Europe.

Under Louise's leadership, the team at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has had great success in Ireland. The company has seen significant growth in both new business and retention in the Irish market. Louise has played a key role in this success, and their deep understanding of the Irish insurance market has been instrumental in helping Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance to achieve its goals in the country.

Louise Kidd has a Diploma in Company Direction and a Certificate in Company Direction from The Institute of Directors. Louise also has a batchelors degree 2.1 in Financial Services from Dublin Business School.
