Rene Tessmann

Rene Tessmann has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Rene currently holds the position of Director of Clinical Affairs & Science at Berlin Heart GmbH since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Medtronic as a Senior Medical Affairs and Clinical Manager for the EMEA region from February 2020 to January 2022. Rene also worked as a Clinical Trainer at Abiomed from October 2018 to January 2020. Before transitioning to these roles, they served as the Managing Director and Entrepreneur at Medicovation GmbH & CoKG from July 2014 to October 2018. Rene has also held various medical director roles, including Chief Medical Officer Europe at ReliantHeart Inc. from April 2016 to January 2017, and Medical Director Europe at CorMatrix Cardiovascular, Inc. from July 2014 to March 2016. Rene started their career as a Medical Resident in Cardiac Surgery at the Medical School Hannover from January 2002 to September 2006. Prior to that, Rene worked as the European Training Manager at Thoratec, now a part of St. Jude Medical, from October 2006 to June 2014.

Rene Tessmann obtained a Master's degree in Medicine from Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, from 1994 to 2001.
