Alexandra Friedrich

Alexandra Friedrich has over 20 years of work experience in various scientific and project management roles. Alexandra is currently the Head of Project Management at the Center for Digital Health at the Berlin Institute of Health in der Charité. Prior to this, they held roles as a Projektmanagerin and Scientist in project management at the same institution.

Before joining the Berlin Institute of Health, Friedrich worked at Algenol as a Senior Director of Strain Characterization and a Director of Metabolic Engineering. Alexandra also served as a Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist, where they led projects and teams.

Earlier in their career, Friedrich was a Scientist at the Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology and OHSU | Oregon Health & Science University. Alexandra also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Researcher at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München, where they conducted genetics research and was enrolled as a doctoral candidate.

Alexandra Friedrich obtained their Diplom in Biologie, allgemein from The University of Göttingen in 1999. Alexandra later pursued their studies and earned a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Biologie, allgemein from The University of Göttingen in 2003.
