Nina Kenakkala started their work experience in 2012 as a Customer Advisor at the HaparandaTornio Tourist Information Office. In this role, they provided guidance and support to international customers and tourists. Nina also assisted with ticket sales and organized tours.
From 2014 to 2015, Nina worked as a Communications Trainee at Oulun Energia -konserni. In this role, they gained experience in various aspects of communication.

In 2017, Nina joined Lehto Group Oyj as a Communications Assistant. Nina supported various communication activities, including change communication, internal communication, press releases, and crisis communication. Nina also played a role in the well-being at work committee and served as the editor in chief of the intranet.
In 2017, they returned to Oulun Energia -konserni as a Communications Assistant.
In 2021, Nina worked as a Communications Coordinator at Novart Oy, where they continued to develop their skills in communication.
In 2021, they also volunteered at Oulun Työväen Pursiseura ry, focusing on communications and operation development.
In 2023, Nina joined Berner as an Internal Communications Specialist.
Nina Kenakkala completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Corporate Communication from the University of Jyväskylä from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism from Lapland University of Applied Sciences between 2011 and 2015. Before attending university, Nina attended Kastellin lukio from 2008 to 2011, although the degree obtained and field of study during this time are unspecified. Additionally, they obtained additional certifications, including an EF SET English Certificate with a score of 77/100 (C2 Proficient) from EF Standard English Test in January 2021 and a BIM-osaajapassi -peruskurssi from Metropolia Ammattikorkeakoulu - Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in November 2018.
