Chief Diversity Officer at Bernhard Capital Partners

Michael Jackson is the Chief Diversity Officer for Bernhard Capital. Prior to joining Bernhard Capital, Michael had been a practicing attorney for over 25 years, utilizing his legal background in several capacities. He has represented and litigated for both plaintiffs and defendants in business and property insurance matters. He has also worked in the organization and development of the CareSouth Medical & Dental Health Center, a federally qualified Health Center whose main site is in Baton Rouge with branches throughout the state of Louisiana. Michael most recently served CareSouth as its general counsel. In 2000, Michael was elected to the Louisiana Legislature where he served the people of the state as a member of the Louisiana legislature, State Representative District 61. He was reelected twice and completed his tenure in the legislature in 2012. Michael presently serves as chairman of the board of directors for the Capital Area American Heart Association.

Michael Jackson received his B.A from Southern University. He received his J.D. from Southern University Law Center. He also was selected to participate in the executive training program at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
