Phillip Preis

Phillip Preis is a Managing Director- Capital Markets at Bernhard Capital Partners. He is involved in all areas of the firm’s investment activities.

Prior to joining Bernhard Capital Partners, Phillip served as a Managing Director at Dundon Advisors LLC, where he was the leader of the firm’s investment banking efforts. From 2006 to 2018, Phil served as a Director of the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey, Inc. In this role, he served as an investment banker in both company and creditor-side financial restructuring engagements. He also led deal teams in the execution of in- and out-of-court restructurings, including recapitalizations, exchange offers, distress for control transactions, mergers and acquisitions, debt/equity capital raises (e.g. rescue financings, debtor in possession loans, exit financing), and transactions with contingent environmental liabilities. Before his tenure at Houlihan Lokey, Inc., Phillip was an Associate Director in the Financial Institutions Group at UBS Investment Bank, where he worked as a financial advisor on transactions involving the purchase or sale of asset management firms.

Phillip received his B.S. in Commerce (Finance Concentration) from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
