Christoph Henkel

Christoph Henkel is a doctoral student and Ph.D. candidate at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine since August 2020, where responsibilities include leading and managing interdisciplinary research projects, conducting data analysis, presenting research findings, and mentoring students. Christoph has co-authored several research papers in prominent academic journals and engages in research focused on Virus Immunology under the supervision of a professor. Previous experience includes a student assistant role at Umeå universitet, preparing and analyzing research related to alphaviruses, and a student assistant position at the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology, where preliminary experiments contributed to new project development. Christoph holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, and is pursuing a Doctor of Natural Sciences degree at Universität Hamburg.
