John Amuasi is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in global health, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Global Health at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology since August 2020 and as a Senior Lecturer. In addition to this role, John holds the position of W2 Professor of Global One Health at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine and leads the Global Health and Infectious Diseases Group (GHID-KCCR) since April 2018. Furthermore, John serves as the Executive Director of the African Research Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases since November 2014. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MS in Health Services Research and Policy, an MPH in Public Health Policy and Administration, an MBChB in Medicine, and a BSc in Human Biology, all obtained from prestigious institutions including the University of Minnesota and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. John also possesses a Diplôme d'études en langue française from Alliance Française Accra.
