Oumou Maiga-Ascofare is an experienced clinical and research professional currently serving as the Anticov Clinical Study Coordinator and sponsor representative in Ghana at KCCR since May 2020. Additionally, Oumou holds the position of ASAAP Project Coordinator at the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine, overseeing a project focused on evaluating triple antimalarial therapy in a multicentre clinical trial. Oumou has also been the Leader of the Technical Hub at DELGEME since February 2016, leading initiatives funded by the Wellcome Trust to train African students in bioinformatics. Furthermore, Oumou serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine since November 2011, contributing to various research activities including an Ebola Diagnostic Training project. Oumou's academic background includes a PhD in Parasitology and multiple degrees in biology related to parasitic infections from Université Paris Cité and Université d'Angers.
