Ken Borkan has a long and varied work experience. Ken began their career in 2012 as the Director of Strategy, Operations & Research for the Phoenix Suns, and then moved on to become the Head of Basketball Analytics for the Phoenix Mercury in 2014. In the same year, they also took on the role of Strategy Advisor for Aloha Investment Group. In 2019, they became the Founder & President of KB Capital, as well as the LA Fund Manager and Executive Committee Member & Investor for Tech Coast Angels. Ken also became a Limited Partner/Analytical Advisor and MBA Venture Capital Intern for Casa Verde Capital. In 2021, they took on the role of Investor & Board Observer for FanAI Inc., and in 2022 they became an Investor & Board Director for Berri Fit and Investor & Advisor for Rotender.
Ken Borkan obtained their High School Diploma from Miami Country Day School between 1994 and 2006. In 2006, they graduated from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing and International Business, with Minors in Psychology and Business Strategy. In 2009, they attended Cass Business School for Finance and International Business. In 2015, they received a Certificate from Harvard Business School Executive Education in the Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports. In 2017, they completed the High Potentials Leadership Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education. In 2018, they began a Master of Business Administration - MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management, focusing on Venture Capital, Entertainment Management and Social Impact, which they completed in 2020.
