Shakira Branch

Shakira Branch possesses extensive experience in providing support to victim survivors and youth engagement. At the Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault from September 2021 to September 2022, Shakira served as an Intake Counsellor Advocate, offering a variety of counselling and advocacy services, including telephone counselling, crisis care, brief intervention counselling, and referrals for non-offending support persons. Since August 2019, Shakira has contributed to Berry Street as a Youth Engagement Coordinator, alongside the Y-Change team, and has held roles including Y-Change Program Administrator and Student Youth Engagement, demonstrating a commitment to empowering youth within the organization.
