Kai Unzicker

Kai Unzicker has extensive experience in project management and leadership roles within various organizations focused on social cohesion and democracy. Since July 2011, Kai has been with Bertelsmann Stiftung, serving in multiple capacities, including co-project leader of "Upgrade Democracy" and project leader for the Reinhard Mohn Prize. Previous roles include serving as spokesperson for the Allianz für Zusammenhalt from February 2020 to July 2023, and as a member of the advisory group on social cohesion for the Minister President of Baden-Württemberg. Additionally, Kai contributed to the Global Centre for Pluralism and coordinated interdisciplinary initiatives at Bielefeld University. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Educational Science from Bielefeld University and a Magister Artium in Sociology from the Philipp University of Marburg.
