Steve Carsey

Steve Carsey has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Steve is currently serving as the Managing Director of Bertelsmann's Audio Alliance UK, where they are responsible for driving podcast strategy, development, and production for various content divisions and external partners. Additionally, they are the creative and business lead of Storyglass, Bertelsmann's podcast studio/label.

Prior to their current role, Steve held positions at Conceive Media, where they served as a Non-Executive Director and media advisor in various production entities and digital start-ups. Steve also worked at Audible, Inc., where they served as the Senior Director of International English (Originals), overseeing global programming opportunities, content initiatives, and partnerships across English speaking markets. Steve also served as the Senior Director of Original Content (UK) and Director of Scripted Programming (Global) at Audible.

Before joining Audible, Inc., Steve was the Managing Director of Conceive Media, a creative partnership providing consultancy, development, and production services across various platforms. Steve has also worked at Sassy Films as the Director of Television and Online.

Earlier in their career, Steve served as the Chief Creative Officer of ITN Productions, where they managed the creative process across broadcast, corporate, and digital teams. Steve was responsible for new business development and expanding the company's client base. Prior to that, they worked as the Creative Director and Deputy CEO at Steadfast Television, overseeing the creative strategy, development, and production function.

Steve's experience also includes working at Endemol Shine Group as the Director of Programmes for Initial, where they were responsible for the creative strategy and development processes of the children's, music, events, arts, and entertainment production division. Steve has also worked at Mentorn as the Head of Entertainment, overseeing development and production across the entertainment genre and launching internationally successful entertainment formats and brands.

From 1980 to 1987, Steve Carsey attended Scarborough College but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study.
