Tristan Crane

Tristan Crane has a diverse work experience in audio and video production and technology. Tristan began their career in 2006 at The New England Institute of Art as a Studio Operations - Service Specialist, where they assisted students with equipment operation and managed studio bookings. Tristan then worked at Zippah Recording as an Assistant Engineer/ProTools Operator, troubleshooting equipment and maintaining studio conditions. At Soundtrack Boston, they served as a Studio Assistant, facilitating recording sessions and providing support to clients and engineers.

In 2008, Tristan joined Rumblestrip as an Audio Engineer, where they recorded, edited, and mixed audio for various projects and organized usage for a music library. Tristan also maintained and installed studio equipment, optimizing workflows for efficient use of time and technology.

From 2009 to 2011, they worked at the City of Boston as a Stage Technician, building and breaking down staging for performances and running audio systems for live sound reinforcement. Tristan also assisted audio and lighting production companies with set up and operation for large-scale performances.

Tristan then joined Tequila Mockingbird in 2012 as an Audio Engineer, recording and editing voice overs, ADR, and commentary for radio, television, and the web. Tristan also created sound design and mixed and mastered audio for a variety of needs.

In 2013, they worked at Soup2Nuts Animation Studio as a Dialogue Editor, editing voiceovers and constructing dialogue tracks for the Emmy Award-winning series "WordGirl" on PBS. Tristan also coordinated with artists, animators, and editors to maintain high standards of quality and meet production schedules.

From 2011 to 2013, Tristan worked at PSAV as an Audio Visual Technician, setting up and operating audiovisual systems for live events. Tristan managed crews, ensured equipment security and maintenance, and supervised setup and strikes of breakout rooms and general sessions.

Tristan then joined Boston University in 2014 as an Instructional Technology Specialist. Tristan operated audiovisual systems for classrooms and provided training on AV equipment to students, faculty, and staff. Tristan also recorded classes and events for web publication.

Most recently, Tristan joined Beryllium Pictures in 2020 as a Video Editor.

Tristan Crane completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Audio and Media Technology from The New England Institute of Art in 2006-2007. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and International Politics from George Mason University in 2000-2004. Additionally, they have achieved several certifications, including Dante Certification Level 1 and Level 2 from Audinate in June 2018, and Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) from AVIXA in June 2017.
