About The Role

We are seeking a Contract Manager to join our Team. This candidate will be responsible for every phase of contract development from researching legal regulation to negotiations and creating and preparing documents. The candidate will be engaged with clients, vendors as well as developing and deploying a contract management program within the firm. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, have an operational approach, with a “can-do” attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for every phase of contract development, researching legal regulations, negotiating terms, preparing print documents for internal and external clients, and communicating with vendors and teams.
  • Identify, review, examine, monitor & coordinate various contracts previously arranged or company standard contracts.
  • Prepare contractual agreements using research methods and knowledge of client needs and ability to fulfill its requirements
  • Ensure that terms of agreements written in language that is legally binding and in accordance with the desires of the client
  • Be able to work well with company legal and accounting counsel
  • Overall management and utilization of contract management systems
  • Create processes and workflows that ensure productivity and conform to best practices
  • Review contracts to ensure clear and actionable deliverables as well as reasonable contract payment terms 
  • In house negotiator that will review contracts to route new/renewing contracts in timely manner
  • Coordinate contract related questions with stakeholders
  • Review client and vendor invoices to ensure that contract terms are executed per the contract by coordinating with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Handle and lead other contract/legal-related matters as they arise at the Company
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and contractors 
  • Research legislation and regulations depending on the industry and make sure we are current and compliant
  • Develop and implement effective procurement representatives
  • Handle all client breach of contracts
  • Operationalize the Contracts process within Bespoke to be most efficient for all parties
  • Engage with clients for Contract walk-throughs
  • Implement contract best practices that consider industry, culture norms and client’s best interests
  • Track historical client terms and negotiations
  • Review, negotiate as needed, and execute in-house vendor and contractor agreements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 to 8 years of previous contract experience
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Understanding of contract language and contract style guides
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 
  • Experience using Microsoft CRM
  • Experience using Digital Transaction Management software (e.g, Docusign)
  • Exemplary organization skills and ability to multitask
  • Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all types of people
  • Excellent negotiation skills (in-person and through written communication)

  • Private Equity experience.
  • Legal or paralegal experience, preferably working directly with contract law
