Support/Testing at Best Athletes

Stella Li is a software developer and QA specialist who currently works at Best Athletes. Stella has always been interested in technology and problem-solving, which is what led their to pursue a career in software development. Stella interned at Neighbourhood Watch Plus during their final year of university and was later hired on as a full-time developer. Stella spent two years at Neighbourhood Watch Plus, during which time they helped create a product roadmap and drove planning efforts by interfacing with stakeholders. In 2020, Stella took on the role of guest mentor for the Smarty City Challenge at The E3 Challenge. In this role, they provided mentorship and guidance to participants in the challenge. In January 2021, Stella joined Best Athletes as a software developer + QA specialist. At Best Athletes, Stella has improved the development release cycle by implementing automated integration tests and has created UI components based on UX design, user experience and product feedback. Stella has also used domain driven design to set up endpoints that enable CRUD manipulations on large amounts of customer data. Additionally, Stella has used machine learning algorithms to discover new performance metrics based on physical characteristics. Stella has also helped architect a complex system of nested controllers connected with backend services and repositories by modularizing components for ease of use. In addition to their work as a software developer, Stella also provides customer support through the front-end customer support API that they helped create.

Stella Li has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Concentration in Cyber Security and Cloud Computing from Louisiana Tech University.
