Director, National Events Operations at Best Buddies International

Angelo Santa Lucia has a diverse work experience. Angelo started their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Florida International University, where they assisted in creating course materials and taught classes. Angelo then worked as a Corps Member and Behavior Coordinator at City Year, tutoring and improving the grades of high school students. After that, they served as a Program and Community Outreach Coordinator and later as a Program and Community Outreach Manager at Working in the Schools (WITS), where they organized literacy tutoring programs and developed relationships with elected officials. Angelo also worked as an ESL Instructor at Face to Face Learning Center, teaching English to migrants. Angelo then joined ER Assist, Inc. as a Field Administrator, managing audits and tracking personnel movements during an emergency response effort. Angelo later transitioned to Best Buddies Florida as a Program Manager, overseeing school friendship programs and developing expansion presentations. Angelo's most recent role is at Best Buddies International, where they have served as a Manager of Special Events Operations and is currently working as a Director of National Events Operations. In this role, they coordinate event operations, manages in-kind solicitations, and supports auction payments and sponsor events.

Angelo Santa Lucia earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Florida International University in 2010. Angelo then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in History at the same university and completed it in 2013.
