Geena Jeffries Mattox has a diverse and extensive work experience. Geena started their career as Carlotta in the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera with Actors' Equity Association from 1992 to 2009. Geena then worked as the Director of Sales to General Manager at John Daly Inc from 2004 to 2007, where they achieved significant revenue growth and managed a team of 15. Geena also worked at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group as Business Development: Group Sales from 2007 to 2009, increasing group sales revenue by 54%. Geena served as the Chief Operating Officer at Opportunity Village from 2010 to 2012, where they implemented operational procedures and achieved a 52% increase in revenue for the Great Santa Run. Geena Jeffries Mattox was the Director of Development: Go Red for Women & Heart Ball at the American Heart Association from 2012 to 2013, where they successfully increased revenue and managed major events. Geena then became the Nevada State Director and later the Senior Director of Grant Development at Best Buddies International from 2016 to the present. In these roles, they played a crucial role in the organization's mission to provide opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, overseeing grant development and state operations. In between these roles, Geena worked as the Director of Business Development at Style Event Design from 2014 to 2015, focusing on crafting custom décor solutions for events.

Geena Jeffries Mattox earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Vocal Performance from Rockmont College, where they studied from 1980 to 1985. Geena then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Vocal Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder, completing their studies from 1986 to 1991.
