Matt Wilkes

Matt Wilkes serves as the Senior Director of Medical Affairs at Best Buy Health, focusing on the integration of hospital-at-home and virtual care solutions, particularly utilizing wearable technology and addressing cytokine release syndrome in clinical trials. Concurrently, Matt holds roles as an Independent Medical Officer and Visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth and as Deputy Director of the Diploma in Expedition and Wilderness Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Additionally, Matt is the Director of Adventure Medic, which promotes sustainable healthcare initiatives. With extensive experience as a Physician in Remote Environments and significant contributions to various high-profile medical expeditions, Matt also spent nearly 13 years with the NHS in various roles within Anaesthesia and Critical Care. Educational qualifications include MBChB from The University of Edinburgh, a PhD in Human Performance in Extreme Environments from the University of Portsmouth, and an MSc in Clinical Sciences from the University of Leicester.
