Catherine McCann has a diverse work experience, starting as a Global Sales CFO at AT&T in 1988. Catherine later became a member of the Women Presidents Organization in 2011 and served as a board member for the American Red Cross NENY from 2007 to 2019. In 2013, they joined the Watervliet Business and Technology Partnership as a board member. Catherine co-founded Best Cleaners in 2005 and expanded into other ventures such as Best Restoration and EmilyGrace Gown Preservation. Catherine also became a partner at America's Best Cleaners in 2014, where they helped business owners in the garment care industry grow their businesses. In 2018, they became a board member at the McNulty Veteran Business Center, supporting veterans and military spouses in starting and growing their businesses.

Catherine McCann's education history begins in 1980 when they attended Strathroy Disctrict Collegiate Institute (High School) until 1985. Catherine then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University from 1985 to 1988.
